“A few terms ago there was one student who… came into my office and said they thought they were going to withdraw… They were getting through law school but they weren’t like an A student… So, I talked to the student and said, “Listen, this is a place where everyone can do really well and just because you’re not doing great at writing exams, that’s not the skillset you need here.” And I said, “Stick with us. See what happens,” and by the end of the term I think that student got honours… She was a great student… Because I think sometimes law school can be a bit demoralizing for people…” (19)
