This site was created primarily on two territories: Treaty 2 and Treaty 6 Territory. Treaty 2 Territory is the traditional land of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations – the Ojibway, Odawa, and Potawatomi peoples. Treaty 6 Territory is the traditional land of the Cree, Dakota, Nakota, Saulteaux, Stoney, and the homeland of the Metis Nation. We pay our respect to the First Nations and Metis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another. We respectfully acknowledge the land we live and work on.
