“I think sometimes there’s a challenge depending on just the faculty as a whole and how supportive the faculty may be of the students in the program… [S]tudents… have to miss class quite a bit for court appearances and we travel in the district… Students undoubtedly will be missing class and sometimes they feel that they maybe get a little pushback from the professors or maybe aren’t supportive… and… sort of balancing that is difficult. Students are sort of feeling like they’re not being supported by other professors because they’re missing class or something that’s important going on that day if they’re doing an actual integrative practice assignment and then we’re here going, “Yeah, we have to serve the clients. This is what you signed up for. This is what you need to do, and this is what your obligations are in being in the clinic.” Sometimes, that’s a little difficult.” (14)
